NVIDIA's 800 VDC Wall: GaN Gets the Attention, SiC Gets the Dollars

Creative Strategies Atlas note | October 14, 2026 | NVIDIA MGX 800 VDC power delivery board display NVIDIA's MGX 800 VDC display put twelve suppliers side by side, each showing compute-tray power boards built to the same reference design: an 800V hotswap, and conversion from 800V to 50V, 12V or 6V. NVIDIA names fourteen silicon partners for 800 VDC in total, and ten of them were on this wall alongside two module makers, Delta and Megmeet. When a customer invites that many vendors to show interchangeable boards, it is telling them the board itself will not carry much pricing leverage.
